The lyrics were from the title song "Destination," by the band "Last Supper," and had been used as evidence in the children's provocative essay, 'Rate of Change.' A century of speculative fiction and film, games, poetry, and song, had been leveraged into a kind of subconscious expectation that someday, consciousness would move to the machines. Mankind no longer 'Wet,' organic, a creature of Water and Earth, but 'Dry,' immortalized in the machines consciousness had created.

The greatest choice in human history still to be made.

What would it be?

Wet, or Dry?

A matter of 'When,' not 'If.'

And humanity rushed not to extinction but transformation would want to live its last generations as children. See? Just look at most of our parents....
